What is a Contract Research Organization?

One of the things that makes Charles River unique is that we’re a Contract Research Organization (CRO). CROs provide critical support to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in the form of leading-edge research. We work with universities, support foundations, research institutions, and government organizations across the globe to develop life-saving medicines and therapies. Our work is incredibly diverse and provides an unequaled variety of options and opportunities for you to pursue.
